Domestic aviation provider fly748.com is strengthening its engagement with Kenya’s cooperative sector as it seeks to tap into the growing demand for business and leisure travel among the country’s estimated 2.6 million SACCO members.
The airline recently participated in the Cooperative Expo Nairobi Edition 2026, where it showcased tailored air travel solutions designed to meet the needs of cooperative societies, institutional investors, corporate organisations, and other structured groups that play a significant role in Kenya’s economy.
Speaking during the event, George Oduor, Head of Scheduled Services at fly748.com, said the cooperative movement presents a significant opportunity for the aviation industry due to its large membership base and frequent travel needs.
“The cooperative movement is a major economic force, bringing together millions of members who travel regularly for business, investment opportunities, and leisure. Our presence at the Expo reflects our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and efficient air transport services that address the unique travel requirements of SACCO members and corporate clients across the country,” he said.
The airline participated under the umbrella of 748 SACCO, aligning itself with the Expo’s theme, “Cooperatives Powering Socioeconomic Inclusion”. The event, jointly organised by Credence Africa and the Nairobi County Government, provided a platform for networking, partnerships, and market expansion within the cooperative sector.
Nairobi County remains a key market, accounting for more than 60 percent of Kenya’s cooperative movement and hosting over 5,000 SACCOs.
Expanding Flight Operations
The airline’s renewed focus on the cooperative sector comes shortly after the relaunch of its scheduled passenger services on May 1, 2026. Since resuming operations, fly748.com has enhanced its flight schedules along key coastal routes to cater to growing passenger demand.
The carrier currently operates two daily flights between Nairobi and Mombasa, as well as one daily flight to Ukunda in Diani. These routes connect the capital with some of Kenya’s busiest tourism and business destinations, serving corporate travellers, holidaymakers, and organised groups.
